How To Clean Interior Concrete Stairs

These steps are inside apartment complex and very dirty. I have hard surface tools but not a hand hard surface tool. What would be the best to use. Hand held spinner or no spinner or ? I am willing to pay the money. I don't want a piece of junk that will break in thirty minutes. I do have a Rotovac 360i with the hard surface package but seems it would be a pain to move it from one step to the next.

Do you have a picture of the stairs? Is it smooth concrete or the type of concrete stairs with a bunch of pebbles in them? Anything under or close by to be concerned about with overspray?

Just did a set with a power washing wand for the edges and a mini turbo tool, handheld. Make sure u recover the water well.

Smooth concrete. They are open with no back/toe kicks If water over sprays it will fall to the next stair case below until I get to last/bottom stair case then it will fall on carpet.

Pressure washing would be easiest but it sounds like it would be too messy in this situation. I would probably use either a mini hand held spinner tool or a countertop cleaning wand. It may be beneficial to have a deck brush for scrubbing prior to rinsing with the tool. I would cover the carpet at the bottom with plastic just because no matter how careful you are I am sure some water will end up dripping down.

Do you mine if I ask what would be a good price to charge for a first time service for this. I think the complex is thirty years old and never had this done before. There is sixteen flights of stairs and landings have carpet. I think the steps are at least 3.5 wide. with at least eight steps per flight. I do clean the carpets in the apartments when every time someone moves out and I clean all the carpet in the hallways and stair landings once a year.

Thanks for the info Todd. I never thought about that. I forgot to tell you the landings are carpet also so I will need to put a tarp or plastic on those also thanks again.

I charged 300 and it took me 2 hours to do 8 flights of 10 stairs each.
Warning, not as high traffic as you are dealing with and I had 1 setup at 250 feet. However I also wiped down all railings, dusted all exit signs and cleaned all the doors and handles.
